King of Sin (Ruthless O'Rourkes #1) by Stella Moore
I was given this book for my honest review from Stella Moore and The Smuthood. I absolutely loved this book from the very beginning. You do not get a huge description of the two main characters which for me is fine. I like coming up with my own descriptions of the characters. This book had so much chemistry from the very beginning. I loved that you meet so many characters through the book. I really hope to get to know more about the background characters as the series goes on. While there is a pregnancy in the book it's really not the main part of the story. Just a reason that some of the things happen. This book had so much great dialogue throughout it. I highly recommend checking this book out.

Volik (Bonded Souls #1) by S.J. Tilly
Forget what you think you know. Forget the fairy tales and lore of old. Vampires are real. And for the past seventy years, they've walked opening among us. They're bigger and stronger than humans, with black eyes, horns, and powers that shouldn't be possible. Volik is one of these vampires. Living in the small town of Hemlock Hills, he spends his days locked in his office at Stailden University. Wasting time. Waiting. Until Nix, the new journalism professor, arrives...and changes everything. This is the story about the day they met. What happened after. And how their bond started a sequence of events that changed the world. Volik by S.J. Tilly was published on June 11th, 2026. This is the first book in the Bonded Souls series.
I was given this book for my honest review from S.J. Tilly and The Smuthood. I used to read a lot of vampire books as a young adult. Though, lately I haven't read much about the paranormal world. But, I could not skip this book from one of my top authors that I love reading. Now that being said, I absolutely loved this book. S.J. Tilly was able to craft the world where vampires and other creatures live so quickly that it didn't feel like it was dragging. I absolutely loved how she created the meet of the two main characters. How it was created made it not feel so fast and that you can see how the two characters were getting together. The dialogue throughout the book made me feel so many emotions. S.J. Tilly knows how to use dialogue to help the readers understand what is happening with the ability to move the story along. I highly recommend checking out this amazing book.

Branded by Saffron A. Kent
It all began with letters. Every word he wrote etched itself into my mind, into my soul. I had no choice but to fall in love with him. Was it really so bad that the letters were part of a pen pal program, sent from a penitentiary? Or that they weren't really addressed to me? It's not as if he'd ever find out the truth. It's not as if I'd ever get to look those eyes that are as blue as the sky over his ranch he left behind. Or that I'd ever get to feel his work-roughened hands dominating my body as he does my fevered dreams. Until one afternoon when I find myself standing in front of him - pretending to be someone I am not. But the joke's on me because for all my pretenses, his deception is much crueler. The hardened, dangerous, impossibly beautiful man is nothing like the man in the letters. And it's too late for me to run. Branded by Saffron A. Kent was published on October 2025.
This book was purchased while I was on a weekend trip with my lovely husband. So I finally got around to reading it and I am so happy that I made that choice. This book had me in all of the emotions. Through the book, I was trying to figure out what the hell was happening with the characters. Like what made the MMC do what he did to the FMC. The writing of this book is so top tier that every page and scene made you think and yet they flowed so perfectly. The smut scenes in this book are amazing and you will not want any distractions while reading them. I cannot wait to read more books by Saffron A. Kent. As if she writes more books like this then I know for sure she will become one of my favorite authors.
Quotes that I Loved

"So if I wanna keep you, I'm gonna let you ride."
"Ride?"

"What?"
"My mouth."

Rucking Obsessed (Knights of St. Killian #1) by London Snow
MySongbird, 3,748 days. I know the number without looking it up. Ten years, two months and six days since the first time I saw your face. I track every aspect of your life like you're my religion. When I reveal myself, you'll understand that I'll never worship anyone else. You were always meant to be mine, my little songbird. But for now, I have to settle for keeping you safe. Yours in every lifetime. Rucking Obsessed by London Snow was published March 25th, 2026. This is the first book in the Knights of St. Killian series.
I was given this book for my honest review from London Snow and The Smuthood. I had a hard time getting into this book. There were times where I was so close in DNF it. But then...there were moments where I was like wait...this is finally getting interesting. I could not get into the two main characters at all though. I felt like they had no chemistry other then him saving her when she was little. Though he was the only one who remembered. So it was a challenging book for me. I felt like the characters really didn't have any depth to them. But yet the plot had some interesting points involved in it. While, I am not sure if I will read another book in the series. You might light this book. It does have a few good spicy scenes.
Quotes that I Liked
"Leave her the fuck alone...Or I'm going to shove that little rowboat of yours up your ass and send you out to sea."

Lassoed Love (Silver Saddle Ranch #2) by Ann Einerson
Spicy lessons turn into undeniable chemistry, blurred lines, and broken rules between a reformed cowboy Casanova and the girl he's secretly pined after for years in this steamy, friends-to-lovers, fake-dating, small-town romance. I wasn't expecting to bail my little sister's best friend out of jail. But what else could I do? I've wanted her for far longer than I care to admit. Too bad she thinks I'm a notorious Playboy, leaving my firmly in the friend zone. Not that I didn't earn that reputation once upon a time, but Birdie is the only one I have eyes for now. Luck is on my side when, after a few too many shots, the girl of my dreams propositions me. Will I be the first one to take her for a roll in the hay and teach her everything I know? Getting involved with the woman I've been yearning for is a bad idea. But it's one I plan to take for a ride, especially when Birdie becomes my fake girlfriend with benefits. This might not be my first rodeo, but agreeing to give her spicy lessons blurs the lines between friendship and what lies beyond. If I'm already bending the rules, I'm determined to lasso her heart. Lassoed Love by Ann Einerson was published March 26th, 2026. This is the second book in the Silver Saddle Ranch series.
I was given this book for my honest review from Ann Einerson and The Smuthood. I have to first say that I have not read book one before I read this book. Though, you didn't really need to read book one first. It was quick way to get the background just by reading this book. Though, you don't know how to background characters got together. It didn't take away from the book at all or the plot. I absolutely enjoyed this book. It is very light hearted and makes you giggle a lot. I absolutely loved Birdie in this book. She seems to be a girl who has so much strength when in reality she is drowning until Walker comes in. I loved that both characters have both strengths and weaknesses that balance each other out. It makes it seem like a perfect fit through the book. The plot in this book is amazing and it flows so well through each page. I didn't feel like I was always playing catch up or feeling like screaming because nothing was happening. I loved the romance the two characters have for each other. It works really well together as you can see how they work together in the book. The spicy scenes are spicy as Walker teaches Birdie what it means to be spicy. I highly recommend checking this book out.

When my father arranges my marriage to Vincenzo Vici, a cold-blooded assassin from a rival family, it's a death sentence. For both of us. Because my father uses our engagement to slaughter the Vicis and take their territory. But he makes a grave error. He doesn't kill the most dangerous Vici of Vincenzo himself. I've never met my intended fiance, so when I stumbled upon a handsome, bloodied stranger being tortured in a laundromat in the middle of the night, I follow my instincts and save his life. Big mistake. The man I saved is Vincenzo Vici, and when he discovers I'm the woman who led his family to slaughter, I realize there are circles of hell my father never showed me. Vincenzo should kill me. He wants to kill me. Instead, he decided to make me pay in a different way - by holding me to our arranged marriage and exacting his revenge on me. But Vincenzo isn't the monster I expected. His ruthless kisses light up my soul. His darkness is a dangerous addiction. And when my father hands me poision and orders me to finish what he started, I'm caught between two impossible loyalty to my own blood, or devotion to the darkness that sets me free. Cruel Savior by Lilith Vincent was published February 25th, 2026. This is the first book in Ruthless Arrangements series.
I was given this book for my honest review from Lilith Vincent and The Smuthood. Let's talk about the cover first. The cover of this book is amazing! I feel like this character really brings out the character in the book. It also really drew me to the book so well done on the cover Lilith. Okay, let's talk about this book. This book is grade AMAZING! I could not put this book down for the life of me. I lost many hours of sleep reading this book. This book had the drama, had the romance, had the twist and turns. It had me crying and had me squealing in giddiness. The plot of this book is perfection and I felt like there was nothing that I needed to know more about. It had the perfect amount of background that gave you some answers but yet was not over running the whole book. The smut scenes are tame for a Dark Romance but still hot with tension. The tension between the two main characters is there from the first few chapters that make you want to fan yourself. The two characters are well written. I really like how the author wrote the Mafia princess in this book. You can tell that she was shelter from certain things and yet how she also suffered from abuse. She acted how a person would act if she was abused most of her life. I absolutely loved this book. I cannot wait till the second book comes out in May.

The Stalker Match (Mafia Matchmaker #2) by Montana Fyre
Lexi De Luca lives a double life. By day, she's a Mafia princess, and by night, she makes spicy content for her fans. The thing is, along with the two lives, she also has feelings for two different men. Her brother's best friend and a perfect stranger on the internet. When loneliness gets the best of her, she decides to follow in her brother's footsteps and sign up for the Mafia Matchmaker, the last thing she never expects is to match with the man she's loved for most of her life. But there's another man in her life, one who threatens the future that is finally within her grasp, and he's always three steps ahead. The Stalker Match by Montana Fyre will be published on January 9th, 2026. This is book two of the Mafia Matchmaker series.
I made an oops and accidentally applied twice to this book to review from two different P.Rs. It's because I fell in love with this series with The One Night Match book. So I knew that I wanted a chance to read this book before it was published. Anyways, thank you to Montana Fyre, The Smuthood, And Literally Yours for the opportunity on reading this advance copy for my honest review. Okay, now that is over let's get to the review. I am so glad that I was able to get this book. I fell in love with the characters right off the bat. I love how Lexi is not a normal Mafia princess at all. She had a rough growing up under her father's thumb until her Big Brother killed him. So she has some background craziness that you see come out. But she also didn't want to survive on the Mafia money and started to make her own in secret. This girl has so much personality and it all works in this book. It's also fun to watch her growth throughout the book. Colten has so many layers as well and it's so fun to watch this Mafia guy turn all gooey for the girl. You thought Cruz in book one was bad with his golden retriever ways...just wait till you meet Colten. I loved the characters in this book. The plot in this book was amazing and I really wanted to walk into the book and be a part of it. I could not put it down. Though, I feel like Lexi was really forgiving rather quickly for things that Colten did. I wanted to see her give him a run for his money. I absolutely loved this book and I cannot wait to read the next story. From what I can tell it's going to be amazing....

Burning Ivy (KORT #1) by Brandy Hynes
She's my mission. My prize. My obsession. Ivy Kingston is the most wanted woman in the world for reasons she is completely oblivious to, reasons I intend to capitalize on. She needs a husband to receive her inheritance, so I'm on the hunt for a wife. As long as it's her. I'm not who she thinks I am. But she has no idea who she really is either. I'll be her groom. Her keeper. Her lover. And quite possibly her demise. Burning Ivy by Brandy Hynes was published on January 2024. This is the first book of KORT series.
This book had so many turns that it's insane. At the beginning of the book I was confused on what was going on. I couldn't get into the characters of Ivy and Wells. But then as the book went on the confusion eased up and the characters didn't seem so flat. I felt like it was really uneven in the book. Though I have to say that the plot of the book really kept me going in the book. I found out that as the book went on things were explained. I absolutely ended up falling in love with this book. So I highly recommend checking this book out as you will not be disappointed. The characters even the side characters will keep you on your toes in the book.

God of Malice (Legacy of Gods #1) by Rina Kint
I caught the attention of a monster. I didn't ask for it. Didn't even see it coming. But the moment I do, it's too late. Killian Carson is a predator wrapped in sophisticated charm. He's cold-blooded, manipulative, and savage. The worst part is that no one sees his devil side. I do. And that will cost me everything. I run, but the thing about monsters? They always chase. God of Malice by Rina Kent was published in July 2022. This is the first book in the Legacy of Gods series.
I have to say this warning right off the back. Read the author's notes before you start to read this book. This book is intense and really catches people off. Even those who enjoy reading Dark Romance. This is a Dark Romance. This book had a weird hold on me until I finished. I actually bought this book at a bookstore at full price (shocking) while on an anniversary trip with my husband. Yes, I buy books while on anniversary trips. Anyways, getting off course. This book is intense to the extreme but for me who reads a lot of dark romance tropes it wasn't over the top. I read Haunting Adeline in a week. The author needs some editing here and there but it wasn't so much that it made me dnf. I actually shared a lot of quotes from this book to a Facebook message group that I created to share books in. (Hi Girls) Anyways, let's talk about the characters. I really like Glyndon even though her name really drove me crazy. How do you say it any tips (problems for those of us who read the books in physical not audio). I felt though she lacked some roundness in the way she was. I didn't get a ton of personality or history. It just starts and goes intense from there. Killian is a character that I hate to admit that I loved. I felt like I knew more about him then Gyndon and felt like it was off balance. Which made their relationship feel off balance in parts of the books. There were points in the plot that I was like this piece needs something. I wanted to poke them with a stick. But the smut scenes were in what word overwelming. But the good overwhelming. They made you like, "Holy Crap...." to "How is that possible?" to "Why do I like this?" Anyways, I really enjoy the book and need to read the next book in the series.
Quotes that I Loved
"What's the definition of nicely to you?"
"Add a please or drop on your knees. Either will do. Doing both at the same time would be highly recommended."
Fuck you. I'm a King, and we don't get told what to do. Despite the fear that paralyzes my limbs, my gaze clashes with his as I bite down on his dick. Hard.

Call of Booty by Anastasia Austin
I've always had two dreams. One, develop games for Asteroid Studios. Two, lose my virginity to Gwen, the girl I've had a crush on since I was eleven. Career goals are easy. Work my ass off and get the job. My relationship goals, on the other hand, are impossible seeing how my childhood crush is also my little sister's best friend. After four years of college and six years of successful indie game development, I finally got my dream job but I'm no closer to getting my dream girl. Gwen and I are solidly in the friend zone. But when my sister has to go on a business trip and leaves Gwen without a human shield to warn off an over-zealous co-worker, I have the chance to show her we could be more than friends. Or I could ruin our friendship trying to turn our fake date, and my lifelong dream, into something real. Call of Booty by Anastasia Austin was published in July 2021.
I really wanted to love this book but I felt like it could have used some more editing to produce a better finish product. But there is a lot of good things in this book. I felt like the relationship went from zero to 100 really fast but since it's a short but you kind of expect it. I do love how the two of them had a bond before the book even began. They hinted at their history before the story started since they were friends since they were younger. I also feel like some of their reactions didn't feel genuine. I absolutely enjoyed the smut scenes in this book. It gave me some ideas to help my gamer husband. For a quick read it was an okay book.

A Wreck You Make Me ( Bad Boys of Bardstown #3) by Saffron A. Kent
I have been in love with Shepard Thorne since I was twelve. He's my best friend's hot older brother, and I am the weird redhead who low-key follows him everywhere. He's soccer's bad boy, and I am stuck in a dead end job, serving drinks at the local strip club. Our paths aren't meant to cross. Until one day I catch him getting a lap dance at the club and jealousy makes me ruin his fun. Now's he's made it his mission to make my life hell and no matter what I do, there is no escape. Everywhere I turn, there he is, waiting for his payback. He threatens to kiss me one second, and choke me the next. He promises to bring me to my knees and make me beg...A Wreck, You Make Me by Saffron A. Kent was published on August 8th, 2025. This is the third book in the Bad Boys of Bardstown series.
I was asked for my honest review in getting the ARC of this book from Saffron A. Kent and The Smuthood. Also I will admit that I have not read book one or two of the series. On to the review, I thought at first the book started out slow but it quickly gained speed. I realized the slow beginning was just the building blocks being put down. I did get confused at times on who was speaking through the book but it didn't mess up the story at all. The characters were on par amazing. I fell in love with Shepard and his weird mood swings. I also feel bad for him through the book. The mother in me wanted to coddle him. But not only did I want to coddle him but I wanted to coddle Jupiter. I felt horrible for her to keep secrets through the book but not only that but had to raise her little sister. The background of the main characters really made you feel for the two and hope and pray that they get a future. Though it also helped to realize they needed each other to have that future. The smut scenes were on fire. There is a scene with a military type boot of a ride. I fell in love with this book and will for sure be reading the other books in this series. But not only that I love the way Saffron A. Kent built the scenes in this book. I highly recommend checking out this book and most likely any of her books. I give her an amazing A plus.

The Sleepover (Clear View Country Club #4) by Daisy Jane
Leaving my friends and home during senior year to move to Florida sucks, but when my dad decides to marry his long-distance girlfriend, I have no choice. My first night in Bipal is full of booze and bonfires, and a blue-eyed boy with adorable glasses and a charming smile. Footsies in the sand lead to a walk down the beach, and by the end of the night, I'm a changed girl. The next morning, I came downstairs to find my blue eyed boy sitting at the kitchen table. We make a pact to leave when it happens in the past. But stolen glances across the kitchen, grazed pinkies in the hall, bumped knees at the dinner table....Pretending I don't want Reed Lancaster is the hardest thing I've had to do...You're not supposed to fall in love with your step-brother...but what if two pink lines are involved? The Sleepover by Daisy Jane was published on July 15th, 2025. This is a part of the Clear View Country Club series.
I received this book for my honest review from The Smuthood and Daisy Jane. I really enjoyed the plot of this book. I felt like it flowed in a great way and kept me reading the book. I did feel like the characters could have been more rounded in the book. I felt like they both lacked something that made them more rounded. Some of the stories I felt like fell short in what was needed. I also wanted to see more of them trying to fight the feelings between them. But since it's a novella I felt like the book felt rushed towards the finish line. It was a great read though and I was not disappointed in reading the book. I just felt like the plot could have been better if it was a full novel rather than novella. I felt like things could have been stretched out more. Though I will still recommend checking this book out.
