Chasing the Wild (Chrimson Ridge #1) by Elliott Rose

What happens when you're snowed in on a mountain ranch, with the one man you definitely should not be fantasizing about? I've always done what was expected of me. Layla Birch, the good girl. Forced to grow up too fast. To take care of everything myself. I had a plan. Only, I didn't count on him. Colton Wilder. The cowboy nearly twice my age. He's my dream man. One who takes care of me, gives me a job, and makes my pulse thud harder every time he comes near. My ex-boyfriend's father. The nights are long and cold on top of this mountain. As the snow grows thicker and the tension between us, we're both inching closer to a line we shouldn't cross. Each day, it grows harder to resist the man who looks at me with longing in his eyes. It's tempting to forget about being the good girl for once. No one would find out. Would they? Chasing the Wild by Elliott Rose was published on June 20th, 2024. This is the first book in the Chrimson Ridge series.

I was given this book for my honest review from Elliott Rose and The Smuthood. This is my first book that I have read that was written by Elliott Rose. I really enjoyed reading this story. It was a little slow but as a slow burn type of book it was kind of needed. I really liked the tension between the two characters as it started to build from the beginning of book. So when the two characters finally let go things happened rather quickly after that. Though, the ending felt off and entirely different then what I thought would happen. The characters felt flat in spots where I needed more info. I thought Colton was the one that felt the most flat and it was hard to see what Layla saw in him. I also felt like the action in the book just ramped up but then fell apart. I can't wait to read book two of the series though. I recommend checking out this book.

Tethered Love (Silver Saddle Ranch #3) by Ann Einerson

No one plans on accidentally getting pregnant by their best friend's grumpy older brother. Heath is too hot, too serious, and absolutely has no business being the star of my fantasies. I thought our banter over the years was the closest to foreplay we'd ever get. Until the romance of a wedding and unexpected flirtations lead to a night tangled in the sheets together. It was supposed to be a no-strings-attached, years-in-the-making romp that we'd ever get. It was all going to plan until I saw those two pink lines. What I didn't count on was Heath getting down on one knee and popping the one question I never thought I'd hear coming from his mouth. But he has something I need, so a marriage of convenience is a means to an end. Who says romance is dead? Except Heath has a way with words and cares for me in ways I've never experienced. Not to mention his plans for our upcoming bundle of joy, or how every touch reminds me of that night when his name fell from my lips. Soon, playing house starts to feel natural, and I find it hard to picture my life without him. One night might have tied us together, but will it be enough to keep us from unraveling the knot? Tethered Love by Ann Einerson was published on July 17th, 2026. This is the third book in the Silver Saddle Ranch series.

I was given this book for my honest review from Ann Einerson and The Smuthood.  This is the third book that I have read from Ann Einerson and I have not yet been disappointed. The author has a way to create the plot of the story that flows so well from one scene to the next. This book had no big action scenes but it's a soft flow. It's completely different than say Dark romance tropes. I also love that there is no third-act breakup in the book. Though, I felt like there were times that the author could have slipped it in. This book made me feel a lot of emotions which is perfect on those lonely nights. Also the smut scenes from the very beginning of the book are top-notch. The characters are a little flat but it didn't take away from the book. I highly recommend checking this book out.

Quotes that I Loved

"Sure thing, daddy."
"Careful, hellcat. You're playing a dangerous game."

"Careful, Heath...Keep looking at me like that, and I might start thinking you want to use that paddle of yours on me."

Volik (Bonded Souls #1) by S.J. Tilly

Forget what you think you know. Forget the fairy tales and lore of old. Vampires are real. And for the past seventy years, they've walked opening among us. They're bigger and stronger than humans, with black eyes, horns, and powers that shouldn't be possible. Volik is one of these vampires. Living in the small town of Hemlock Hills, he spends his days locked in his office at Stailden University. Wasting time. Waiting. Until Nix, the new journalism professor, arrives...and changes everything. This is the story about the day they met. What happened after. And how their bond started a sequence of events that changed the world. Volik by S.J. Tilly was published on June 11th, 2026. This is the first book in the Bonded Souls series.

I was given this book for my honest review from S.J. Tilly and The Smuthood. I used to read a lot of vampire books as a young adult. Though, lately I haven't read much about the paranormal world. But, I could not skip this book from one of my top authors that I love reading. Now that being said, I absolutely loved this book. S.J. Tilly was able to craft the world where vampires and other creatures live so quickly that it didn't feel like it was dragging. I absolutely loved how she created the meet of the two main characters. How it was created made it not feel so fast and that you can see how the two characters were getting together. The dialogue throughout the book made me feel so many emotions. S.J. Tilly knows how to use dialogue to help the readers understand what is happening with the ability to move the story along. I highly recommend checking out this amazing book.

Quotes that I Loved

"I'm telling you this to save your life. Do not touch that woman."

"You cannot walk around like that."

"My shirts do not fit."

"It's not........I cannot see your dick, Volik."

"What are you thinking about, Mate?"

"I'm wondering if I can still suck your cock with these fangs."

I do not want that squished worm looking at me anymore.

Branded by Saffron A. Kent

It all began with letters. Every word he wrote etched itself into my mind, into my soul. I had no choice but to fall in love with him. Was it really so bad that the letters were part of a pen pal program, sent from a penitentiary? Or that they weren't really addressed to me? It's not as if he'd ever find out the truth. It's not as if I'd ever get to look those eyes that are as blue as the sky over his ranch he left behind. Or that I'd ever get to feel his work-roughened hands dominating my body as he does my fevered dreams. Until one afternoon when I find myself standing in front of him - pretending to be someone I am not. But the joke's on me because for all my pretenses, his deception is much crueler. The hardened, dangerous, impossibly beautiful man is nothing like the man in the letters. And it's too late for me to run. Branded by Saffron A. Kent was published on October 2025.

This book was purchased while I was on a weekend trip with my lovely husband. So I finally got around to reading it and I am so happy that I made that choice. This book had me in all of the emotions. Through the book, I was trying to figure out what the hell was happening with the characters. Like what made the MMC do what he did to the FMC. The writing of this book is so top tier that every page and scene made you think and yet they flowed so perfectly. The smut scenes in this book are amazing and you will not want any distractions while reading them. I cannot wait to read more books by Saffron A. Kent. As if she writes more books like this then I know for sure she will become one of my favorite authors.

Quotes that I Loved

"Hands off her now or I'll kill you right here for touching my wife."

"And cowboys may be the worst boyfriends but we make the best husbands."

"What were you gonna do with my knife then.....swat butterflies in the meadow?"

"So if I wanna keep you, I'm gonna let you ride."
"Ride?"
"Uh-huh."
"What?"
"My mouth."
"I...what?"
"Now, shut the fuck up, hold on to that knife, and keep those legs open."

Mountain Boss (Mountain Men #1) by S.J. Tilly

I'm just so exhausted - always living on the edge of desperation, one paycheck away from ruin. But this new job...It could be the fresh start I need. It could change everything. The contract is only for three months, but if I keep my head down, work hard, and prove myself, maybe I could stay longer. Maybe I could make Black Mountain Lodge my home. As I pull down the gravel drive, surrounded by the forest and mountains and bright blue skies, I feel something I haven't felt in a while. I feel hope. Mountain Boss by S.J. Tilly was published on March 27th, 2025. This is the first book in the Mountain Men series.

I absolutely love S.J. Tilly books that I have read so far. Her writing in her books sends you to the setting. Where you can picture the scenes in your mind. You are able to see the characters and watch them fall in love. Also it helps you fall in love with the characters that she has in her mind. Like most of her books the men are grumpy and get thrown for a loop when they meet the female lead character. But what is different in this book is that the setting is in a small town in the mountains. I absolutely loved the story in Mountain Boss. I loved Courtney and the mix up that had Sterling hire her. Right off the bat, I knew when these two finally admitted that there is mutual attraction. This book made me chuckle throughout the book at their antics. I love the smut scenes in this book and I love how they are involved in the plot. S.J. Tilly has created yet another great series.

Book Quotes that I Loved

"I called you Cookie for two reasons. And neither of them had anything to do with the shape of your perfect fucking body...Reason one.....You literally threw a cookie at me. And two....I call you Cookie because you're sweet and delicate and....I want to eat you."

"That's my good girl."

Keep Me (Sinful Manor #1) by Sara Cate

All Killian Barclay wants is to be left the hell alone. He's had enough heartache to last a lifetime, and he has no more need for love - earning him the reputation of a broody Scot and eventually turning his famous ancestral home into a den of iniquity. It doesn't take long for tales of his raunchy house parties to reach the rest of his family, though, inspiring them to hatch a plan to shake Killian out of his routine. Keep Me by Sara Cate was published on December 3rd, 2024. This is the first book in the Sinful Manor series.

I read this book awhile ago but I absolutely loved this book. It starts off slow but picks up quickly. I love the antics of Killian in trying to make Slyvie not fall in love with him. But of course it didn't work. The characters in this book are very well rounded. I could picture the characters. Both had faults and strengths. They also grew through the book to be able to get better when they were together. I could totally see how the characters balance each other and would work best together. The plot is great and easy to follow I didn't feel like there was anything that was left hanging at the end of the book. I recommend checking out this book from Sara Cate.

Quotes that I Love

"Where the fuck have you been?"
"Killian?"
"Get in the fucking car, Sylvie."
"I'm not getting in there with you if you're going to yell at me like that."
"I told you to get in the fucking car, women. You can either listen to me, or I'll toss you over my shoulder and put you in there myself."
"What is wrong with you?"
"For fuck's sake..."
"Okay, okay!....I'll get in. Just...relax."
"Relax?.....You have had us worried sick. Peter came looking for you, but you didn't answer your phone, and he couldn't find you."
"I lost track of time. I'm sorry."
"Just get in the fucking car."

Brat Christmas (Holiday Heat #1) by Melody Tyden

Getting drunk after finding out your boyfriend of 4 years cheated? Totally normal. Keying his new girlfriend's car? Understandable. Finding out that car actually belongs to someone else? A nightmare. Now, Maxine finds herself working for Reid to payoff the repairs. He's not all the kind of man she thought she wanted, but the more time she spends under his watchful eye, the harder it is to ignore the sparks between them or the heat simmering beneath his controlled exterior. With Reid as the reward, being naughty has never felt so nice. Brat Christmas by Melody Tyden was published October 31st, 2025. This is book one of the Holiday Heat series.

I was given this book for my honest review from Melody Tyden and The Smuthood. This book had me laughing through the whole thing. It reminds me a little bit like a Hallmark movie if it was a comedy and had lots of smut. The characters were amazing even though they felt like they needed more personality in some parts of the book. The relationship is fast paced and they rarely fought in the book. When they do fight in the book it's quick and no one is really upset. The plot of this book is simple but a really quick read. You know what you are expecting but it didn't take away from the book. The plot is great and and I really loved reading this. This book is a great palette cleanser between some dark books or a book that can get you into the Christmas feelings. I recommend checking this book out as you won't be disappointed through the book.

Quotes that I Loved

Besides, there's a twisted kind of logic at work. She took my boyfriend? Fine. I'll fuck her dad.

"Every time you pass my office, I get a craving for something wet. Must be a coincidence."

"You might want to pace yourself. You wouldn't want to be up all night."
"You're playing with fire."
"Maybe it's worth getting a little burned."

"Good girl."

Troublemaker: A Dark College Hockey Romance (Tabb U #2) by Jo Brenner

Lucy Braverman might be eighteen, but she's my ward. Half my age, and completely off limits. I haven't seen her since she was an awkward, lonely orphan being shipped off to boarding school. Now she's brilliant, beautiful, and reckless. Every rebellious word that passes those lips makes me want to do dark and depraved things. So when she enrolls at the University where I'm the head hockey coach, I do everything in my power to stay away. But the hot little spitfire is determined to get under my skin. Control means everything to me...and if I have to exert dominance to protect her, I will. If I have to do illegal, immoral things to have her, I will. If I have to embrace the darkest parts of both of us to keep her, I will. Because Lucy may be completely off limits. But she's mine. Troublemaker by Jo Brenner was published November 15th, 2025.

I was given this book for my honest review from Jo Brenner and The Smuthood. The characters in this book had me so into it that I needed more. They both had many many faults and a lot of strengths. They both grow through the book together and separate. While I enjoyed the book and its plot I still had the heebie jeebies knowing that Coach was also the guardian who was supposed to be like a father figure to Lucy. I was able to overlook the relationship knowing that Coach was able to send Lucy to a boarding school for most of the time. The story had some great ups and downs throughout the book. They had some massive build-up to some of the scenes that make you squeal. I highly recommend that you check it out.

Quotes that I Loved

"Well, as fun as it would be to desecrate something that's important to Coach, I don't think I want to come all over his whistle. Although....No, I'll find better ways to torture him."

"You touch her?....Tell me. Did. You. Touch. Her?"

"Yeah, he's hard for you, troublemaker. And I promise you're going to become intimately acquainted with him. But for now, daddy wants to eat."

"Don't tell me I can't. Don't tell me anything right now. Daddy's eating, and he doesn't want any interruptions."

Dreaming of a Cowboy Christmas by Ann Einerson

A grumpy cowboy with a permanent scowl isn't quite what I had on my holiday wishlist this year. Except we don't always get what we wish for, which I quickly learn when I find out the Christmas vacation home I booked is a scam. Which means I need to get off the surly silver fox's property ASAP. But even a grumpy cowboy has manners, and he isn't about to send this city girl away with a snowstorm blowing through town - even if it would make his life less complicated. Another not-so-small problem? There's only one bed in his cabin. I might be used to bright city lights, but country evenings turn into the perfect holiday nights when I find myself wrapped up in his arms. It seems the crackling fire isn't the only thing heating up, and I can't help but wonder if fate led me here after all. Dreaming of a Cowboy Christmas by Ann Einerson was published on November 13th, 2025.

I was given this book for my honest review from Ann Einerson and The Smuthood. Thanks ladies for giving me the chance to read this book. Now, this book isn't what I normally read. So first off don't expect dark romance type of shit. But it's a cute holiday romance book that is perfect to read for the holiday. I actually started laughing from the get go of the first page. The first quote grabbed my attention that I had to actually send it to my friends because it made me crack up laughing. Then of course later had to do some Google searches to see if some things were actually out there for products (By the way...yes they are.) Anyways, this book had me laughing so much through the book. This tough cowboy who has become so isolated in a small town opening up and becoming a big teddy bear slowly through the book was top tier. It's everything you expect from a Cowboy. Noelle (love the Christmas name) was so fun to get to know. I loved her weaknesses in the book and how her weaknesses tend to bring out even more lovable characteristics from the Cowboy. I loved how their relationship ebbed and flowed until they slowly fell from just lust for each other to love. The smut scenes are not as graphic as I am used to but really sweet. I highly recommend this amazing Christmas theme book.

Quotes that I Loved

"Is there a reason you have a two ten-inch dildos in your carry-on?"

"I should've brought you a helmet."
"The bright side is I'm probably less talkative after a head injury."

"Save a horse, ride a toy, and a Cowboy!"

"Fuck it.....The only man who can give you what you need is me."
"You sure about that, cowboy?"
"You. Are. Mine."

Mountain Daddy (Mountain Men #2) by S.J. Tilly

Moving into my dad's house at age thirty-two because my roommate scammed me out of my rent...not exactly what I'd call winning at life. So on my drive to Colorado, I decided I need one more night of freedom, and the cute motel on the side of the road is the perfect place to stop. Bonus that it has a bar. Extra bonus when I spot him sitting at the end of the bar. The super hot silver fox, with biceps testing the limits of his flannel. I debate between sitting alone or being bold. But when I catch him watching me, like I'm watching him, bold wins. He's charming and sweet, and I can practically feel the chemistry crackling between us. And when I give my room key...he uses it. But we both know this is just for one night. That we'll never see each other again. Until a week later. When he shows up at my house. Because he's my dad's best friend. Mountain Daddy by S.J. Tilly will be published on July 31st, 2025. This is the second book in the Mountain Men series.

I was given this ARC for my honest review from S.J. Tilly and The Smuthood. First off let me tell you a few things. I absolutely love all of the books that S.J. Tilly so far. I literally screamed in excitement to see that I was getting the ARC for her newest book. Second thing, I screamed and gasped loudly when I saw that the female main character and myself share the same name. I actually told my friends it was a good thing that I didn't have an audio-book of this one because I would totally be blushing and would have to pause the thing 100 plus times. Okay, now let's talk about the characters. I fell in love with Kendra so much. I loved her story from the beginning. I love that she had a relationship with her dad that they tried new recipes together over the internet. From that moment, I knew that she was close to her father. I felt like Kendra and I were good friends and I cried in some parts of the book when you find out more about her. I absolutely loved Luster/Rocky in this book. His character is so well rounded and we are not shoved from the beginning into his background. But we learned with the other characters through the book. The story-line in this book kept me up at night just thinking about it. I felt like I was witnessing everything that was happening on every page. I never felt like the scenes were dragging. They flowed so well together and I always knew who was the voice in the chapter. I do think we need a book about Joe. When you know you know. The smut in this book was top notch. I am not much into the Daddy kink but this book really made me rethink it. I highly recommend checking out this book because if I keep talking I am going to spoil it for you.

Quotes that I Loved

"I've never met a Kendra before." -I have heard this quote myself in the world.

"That's right, Kendra. I'm your daddy now too."

"The second problem is....I like you a brownie amount."

"Crawl to me."

Crossing Lines (The Sentinels #2) by Alexis Gorgun

House sitting for a pop princess should have been easy, decorate her mansion and sew creations alone - in peace. Except Billionaire Evren Kaya just scared me half to death when I thought he was breaking in. Unfortunately, he's my new roommate because his house just flooded. Don't worry, I know his type - entitled and boring. One callous comment from Evren about a viral jacket I made gives me a new goal. Get a licensing deal with a pro football team, maybe even his. Nothing motivates me like spite. But I can't stop thinking about Evren, even though he's too old for me, not my type, and a terrible idea. Crossing Evren's lines must might be my favorite game. Crossing Lines by Alexis Gorgun was published June 2025. This is the second book in The Sentinels series.

I received this book for my honest review from The Smuthood and Alexis Gorgun. This is my first book that I have ever read by Alexis Gorgun so I did not read book one of this series. I was a bit lost at the beginning of the book because I did not read book one. But it didn't overpower the whole book. I just highly recommend reading book one first. I thought the beginning of the book was slow but I think it's more of a slow burn kind of book. Which I am not much a fan of slow burn tropes like some people. The characters I felt like I needed more background info on Evren. I knew a lot about Nina and things that made her the way she is. So I felt like it made the knowledge about Evren seem very small amount. The amount of spice is in this book is very small amount. Which is not a big deal. Though the build up had a lot of fun and made me chuckle so much. I loved the teasing that Nina and Evren did to each other. This book does have some slow scenes but other scenes that keep your attention was worth to keep reading the book. I recommend checking it out.

Quotes that I Loved

"I don't anything, just lie in bed."

"Nothing? No doom scrolling on social media?....No, of course you wouldn't doom scroll. What was I thinking? You probably don't know how to download an app with your advanced age."

"I'm well versed in many things because of my age."

"Oh really?....Like what?"

"Everything you're thinking about, pariltum."

Once You're Mine (Possessing Her #1) by Morgan Bridges

Calista belongs to me...she just doesn't know it. The first time we met, I wanted her. The next time, I was obsessed. I watched her. I followed her. It only deepened my need to possess her. Once she's mine, I'm never letting her go. Once You're Mine by Morgan Bridges was published in October 2023. This is book one in the Possessing Her series.

I absolutely love Dark Romance and even stalking in books. But this book took awhile for me to warm up to. I can usually get through a book within a day or two if it's really catch my attention. But this book took me awhile to get through. I was actually bouncing between books so it didn't keep my attention like others. Though, it started to have more scenes that captured my attention. I felt like the characters in this book needed something more. They fell flat and it was hard to understand them. Like what made them fall in love. What made the hero want to stalk her? I needed more. Now, the smut in this book and several scenes will keep you reading. But it takes awhile to get into the the book. This book does end in a cliffhanger which is not my cup of tea most of the time. I recommend seeing if this book is up your ally.

Quotes That I Loved

Justice is a mistress that calls my name and pulls me into her embrace to fuck me. And leave me bereft. Empty. Wanting a closure I'll never possess.

"What's the question every woman wants to be asked, at least once in her life?"
"Will you marry me?"
"I love you too, but no. Why can't a man simply ask, 'Do you want me to come over and eat your pussy till you come on my face?"

"Apologize to Miss Green for putting your filthy hands on her. Then apologize to me for touching what's mine."

"I refuse to be alone in my obsession...You will suffer like me. I'll accept nothing less. Then, maybe we can ease the desperation in one another as I fuck you until there's nothing left of me, until I've lost myself in so you completely that I no longer recognize myself."

Latte Darling (Darling #2) by S.J. Tilly

I signed myself up for a dating app, and agreed to meet with the first guy that messaged me. And now here I am, at the bar. Only it's not my date that just sat down in the chair across from me. It's his dad. And holy hell, he's the definition of Silver Fox. If a Silver Fox can be thick as a house, have piercing blue eyes and tattoos from his neck down to his fingertips. He's giving me Big Bad Wolf vibes. Only instead of running, I'm blushing. And he looks like he might just want to eat me whole. Latte Darling by S.J. Tilly was published in September 2022. This is the second book in the Darling series.

I have to admit that I am absolutely in love with the way S.J. Tilly writes her books. They have a lot of components that I enjoy. There is lots of humor, sweet talk, but also very naughty pieces that make me want to squeal. This book was no different in those facts. But this book had such a fun writing to it that kept me engage with every scene. It didn't feel like I was reading a book but watching it in person. The characters in this book made me fall in love with their thoughts that were never spoken but also their spoken ones. Also the steamy scenes and scenes leading up makes you blush. The flow of each scene meshes together so well that it ebbs and flows. I didn't feel like any scene dragged on and how they all ended in the final moments. Every scene in the book was perfect and I didn't feel like any didn't need to be there. I highly recommend checking out this book out but not only that but the author.

"You can call me Darling in public, but it's Daddy in the bedroom."

The Wrong Bride (The Windsors #1) by Catharina Maura

She's his fiancee's younger sister. He's the man she's always loved. When her sister doesn't show up on her wedding day, Raven has no choice but to take her place - but marriage to Ares Windsor is nothing short of torture. The elusive billionaire media mongul is the man she's always loved...yet he's only ever had eyes for her sister. Married to him at last, Raven is determined to win him over. After all, everything is fair in love and war. And this? This is war. The Wrong Bride by Catharina Maura was published October 2022. This is book one of The Windsors series.

I really struggled with this book, but I did not dnf it. The characters were interesting to me but I felt like both of the characters felt flat. I didn't love either one of them with how they were treating others and especially how Ares was treating Raven throughout the book. I wanted to hug that poor girl through most of the book. She really drew the short end of the stick from everything that was happening. The plot was interesting but I felt like there was so much going in this book it was hard to keep track of what was going on. I felt like some of the story could have happened in another book. I did not see much love Ares had for Raven so it was hard to see how they were going to be in love. Though, I could see Raven being in love with him. It's a book that left me with more questions then there were answers. But, please don't take my word for it you may have a different experience all together.

Quotes That I Liked

"What?....Can't stand the idea of Raven being with anyone else? I thought you didn't want her as your wife?"
"Fuck off"

"Why can't I ever be anyone's priority? What makes me so undeserving of that? Why can I never measure up against Hannah in my parents' eyes? In Ares's eyes? What is it that she's got and I'll never have? Why is my best never enough..."

"Good girl..."

"Let go of my wife..."

"Let's normalize walking away from toxic situations. You don't have to stick it out when your mental health is taking a beating, just because that's what everyone expects of you. It's okay to reassess and decide whether or not a situation is still acceptable to you."

King of Wrath (Kings of Sin #1) by Ana Huang

Ruthless. Meticulous. Arrogant. Dante Russo thrives on control, both personally and professionally. The billionaire CEO never planned to marry - until the threat of blackmail forces him into an engagement with a woman he barely knows. Vivian Lau, jewelry heiress and daughter of his newest enemy. It doesn't matter how beautiful or charming she is. He'll do everything in his power to destroy the evidence and their betrothal. There's only one problem: now that he has her...he can't bring himself to let her go. King of Wrath by Ana Huang was published in October 2022. This is the first book of the Kings of Sin series.

This book I felt like started slow to build up but quickly picked up. I felt like the build up the whole series was put into this book. At first I didn't like Vivian and the way she treated other people until I met her parents. Then I realized why Vivian was the way she was. But also I felt like there were things missing in the book. Like why was Dante at the event that Vivian put on in New York when he doesn't go to events. I think he was watching her at the event. I absolutely loved Dante in this book. I loved his power in the way he did everything. I also love how he fought his feelings for Vivian. Though I think a lot of their problems is lack of communications. I felt like both characters were a little flat in the beginning but the farther I progressed in the book the more rounded they were. I didn't feel like this book had a ton of smut and less story-line but it had a good amount that didn't over top the story plot lines. There was a healthy balance in this book. Also the conversations in this book didn't feel forced and they talked like normal people which is a huge plus. I highly recommend checking out this book if you have not yet.

Quotes That I liked

One, Dante was going to be my fiancĂ©. Two, we might kill each other before we ever made it to the alter.

"You forget....You're my fiancee. Not Kai's. Not anyone else's. I don't give a fuck how handsome they are or what type of accent they have. You're mine, and no one....Touches what's mine."

"If you won't say it, I will....it says you're mine. Puoi negarlo quanto vuoi, ma e la verita."
"You don't even like me."
"Like has nothing to do with this....That's it....Give into it, sweetheart. Let me feel you come all over my hand."
"Fuck you."
"That's the idea."

"The first hour was for trying to rob one of my stores. The second...is for threatening my wife."

"That's a good girl."

Praise (Salacious Player's Club #1) by Sara Cate

He calls me perfect. His flawless pet. His good girl. Broken down and wounded by my emotionally neglectful ex, I wanted someone to tell me I was good enough. Then, I stumbled into a new job with a boss who brings me to my knees - literally. He has me do things a real secretary would never do. Emerson Grant tells me I'm more than just good enough. I'm worthy of his praise. There are a million reasons why I should stay away. The owner of the Salacious Players' Club is not just my new boss, he's twice my age. And my ex-boyfriend's father. With him, I am treasured. I am adored. I am his. I'm a good girl, but I'm falling for the wrong man. Praise by Sara Cate was published in March 2022. This book is the first book in Salacious Player's Club. This book was a nominee for Swoon Award for Erotic Romances in 2022.

HOLY SMOKES on a cracker was this book spicy. But first, we need to talk about the characters in this book. The two main characters are very different from each other. One is a Dad of an adult son and a divorcee and he runs a kink club with several of his friends. Also has a kink of being a Dom I believe. The other is a girl who can not get her life on track. After having a nasty breakup and a father who has abandon his family she is just trying to keep her head above water. She finds out that she has a kink of being praised. Both characters have personalities but I didn't think of them as three dimensional quality. I needed more faults in this book to come in play I think and needed more just in personality. The plot in this book though really does make up for the characters lack. The plot was so well written and I loved getting inside both of the main characters head. I loved finding out the background of what started the club. But I didn't feel like the two main character showed that they had feelings for each other outside of bedroom/kink activities. But that did not take away from the book at all so it was easy to over look. I actually loved the smut scenes were throughout the book and not so much that it became the plot. Which I am sure is a big risk when you right about a person owning a kink club (be kind of fun to find one of these clubs for myself.) The age-gap in this book didn't bother me at all though I think the female character kind of had some daddy issues. I really enjoyed all aspects of this book, especially the intense smut scenes. I really enjoyed it but I wouldn't say it was one of my top favorite books.

Quotes That I Loved

"So, I had a fistful of her hair in my hand, and we were both in the moment when I looked her right in the eye and said, 'Suck my cock like a good little girl.' The next thing I knew, she reared back her fist and clocked me right in the face."

"Ms. Underwood, you looked exquisite on your knees."

"You're such a good girl, Charlotte."

"You are so fucking beautiful. Make yourself come, baby."

"Ill fill out that form for you if you want, but I don't need to. You want me to tell you that I want to taste you, Charlotte? Because I do. I want to touch you, tease you, fuck you, bend you over my knee and turn that pretty little backside red. There's not a thing on that list I don't want to do with you, so you can put the paper and pen away, little girl. Every single thing would get a five from me."

"You taste so fucking good."

"Do you want me to fuck you, baby girl?"
"Yes"
"Tell me you're worth it. Tell me how beautiful you are."

"Stop being a fucking tease, Charlotte, and suck my cock like a good little secretary."

Fall of Snow (Frost Industries #3) by Montana Fyre

I've always been the disappointing Saint James. The expendable one even. Each of my siblings forged a role in the family, but I never did, and all the public see when they look at me is a disgrace. It's not that I haven't earned that title, because I have, and for the last few years I've been playing the wild child just so I have a role at all. But when I find myself in the hand of our enemy, a man who has been a shadow in my life for the last ten years, a constant presence I could feel, but could never see, I'm thrust into a different role. Elijah thinks I'm going to be his queen. He thinks I'm going to stand by his side despite him being my family's mortal enemy. Can I fall in love with the devil? Or am I destined for a life of misery beside a cruel psychopath? Fall of Snow by Montana Fyre was published in September 2022. This is book three of the Frost Industries.

I absolutely loved the first two books in this series. This book was a little different. I had a hard time connecting with the two main characters. I am not sure why but they both were at first any way hard to see as a person rather then just on the page. As things progressed in the book I began to like the two of them. I love the story-line ebb and flow. It went smoothly though I think Elijah trusted Snow way too quickly and vice versa. Not sure if I can picture Snow trusting him so quickly when his family was trying to kill her siblings and have killed her parents. But, the romance was there and so was the smut. I highly recommend checking out this book.

Quotes That I Loved

The little lamb in the lion's den. My pretty princess in her ivory tower.

"Because snowflakes are beautiful. On the surface they seem fragile, but in order to make it from the sky to the earth, their strength is tested. and when they land, they hold their shape."
"And that's how you see me?"
"Everyone thinks you're fragile, but really you've always been stronger than any of them have been able to see."

"Good girl."

"....because I'll fucking find you no matter where you go. There isn't enough money or power on this earth that could keep me away from you. I'm not going to take you against your will. I'm going to tease and deny you, and when you can't take it anymore, you're going to beg for me to fuck you. You're going to beg for me to take away the ache, and the moment you beg, the moment those words leave your pretty red lips, you'll have made a deal with the devil."

"You forget I've been watching you for ten years, little Snowflake. I know you better than anyone else ever could."
"You know that's creepy, right?"

"Swallow for me, dirty girl. Swallow my cock.'

"Are you going to be a good girl and take my cum down your throat, Snowflake?"

"What I am going to do is make you come all over this gun, and then I'm going to claim you the way I've been craving since the moment I laid eyes on you."

"Does my dirty girl like having a gun in her cunt?"

"Good girl."
