Justice for Mackenzie (Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes #1) by Susan Stoker

A member of the famed Texas Rangers, Daxton Chambers has dealt with more than his share of depravity. But the Lone Star Reaper takes evil to a whole new level, kidnapping and burying women alive. It's Dax's job to help keep San Antonio safe, but even with the help from his friends in various law enforcement agencies, the killer remains two steps ahead. It's hardly the ideal time for a relationship, but Mackenzie Morgan is too luscious to resist. Justice for Mackenzie by Susan Stoker was published on July 2015. This is the first book in the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes series.

This book took me awhile to get into. But, I think the issue is I am not into true crime type shows and it felt like that. But that is a me problem not the book problem. I am so glad though that I didn't put it down. It really sped up once the characters met each other. Also the ending is dramatic to a T. But I don't want to spoil the ending for all of you. I really like the two characters. We met Daxton in passing in another book by Susan Stoker (a book that was published later). But didn't know much about him though knew he was in military in some way. I love hearing more about him in this book also super excited to get know his friends throughout the series. I loved Mackenzie so much that I hope that I will see her in future books because she reminds me of certain friends. I love how their relationship goes and how it's not always perfect. I highly recommend checking out this amazing book.

Innocence Defied ( New York #3) by Lainey Reese

Gage Hollister is a Southern Dom looking for a full time sub/slave. When his family's business brings him to New York City for an indefinite stay, he decides that now is the time to find her. Night after night he prowls the local BDSM club in search of a woman whose need to be dominated equals his thirst for true submission. As the search drags on he begins to wonder if his perfect match even exists. Innocence Defied by Lainey Reese was published in July 2013. This is the third book in the New York series.

I actually just finished this book yesterday so it's all fresh in my mind. I really love the main character Gage. You meet Gage in the second book of the series but you don't actually know him. This gives a little bit background of him but not only that you get to meet Zoe. Zoe is Brice's baby sister which takes on the whole issues of big brother protectiveness. I really love how Zoe only loved one person and that was Gage. Though, I really want to know more about the two main characters that I didn't get in this book. I want to know how did Gage become a Dom and why did he think that he could not love a single person. Also why didn't Zoe ever fight against the whole protectiveness not only her brother had but her parents. It felt like she was super young and not just turning 20. It's crazy...but the scenes in this book that make you all giddy inside are perfect. I highly recommend checking this book out.

Damaged Goods (New York #2) by Lainey Reese

Homicide detective Brice Marshall's current case has him stymied and frustrated. A serial killer is slaughtering young women. After a long, fruitless day poring over the most gruesome evidence he's ever seen, he needs a break. Stepping into his cousin's BDSM club is a reminder that there is another part of himself. The fact is, he's a Dom in search for a sub. Damaged Goods by Lainey Reese was published in August 2012. This is the second book in New York series.

I loved Brice in the first book so I was really excited to see that there was a book where he found romance. In this book it made me love Brice all over with his unique personalities. The only thing is I wish there was more backgrounds of the two characters. I want to know how they were shaped and the way they are. I feel like I was missing some of that with Terryn in this book. Though this book had several amazing scenes. I highly recommend checking out this book.

A Table for Three (New York #1) by Lainey Reese

Riley Ramirez knew that moving to New York would change her life. She just didn't expect it to start on her very first night in town. Her attraction to nightclub owner Kincade Marshall is instant, mind-blowing-and mutual....Suddenly their struggle to keep their forever woman is a fight to keep her alive. A Table for Three by Lainey Reese was published in March 2010. This is the first book in the New York series.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book in being so good. I fell in love with the three main characters so much and how they treated each other. I am not one to like three-somes in books so it was a huge surprise to me. I love the story-line that there was an actual storyline. Also love how each of them had a backstory that you were getting pieces throughout the book. The characters didn't instantly fall in love it was a natural build-up. But also that there is a lot going on throughout the book. I read this book in two days because of how amazing it was. I highly recommend checking this book out. I can't wait to read more by Lainey Reese.

Protecting Jessyka (SEAL of Protection #6) by Susan Stoker

Kason "Benny" Sawyer was the last single man on his Navy SEAL team. He loved his teammates like brothers and respected each and every one of their women. But seeing the love between his friends and their women made it tough to be the odd man out all the time. Jessyka Allen had a good life until it wasn't. Protecting Jessyka by Susan Stoker was published in June 2015. This is book six of SEAL of Protection series.

This book is a little gem as you know a bit about Jessyka from other books in the series. As she comes to their table or talks to the other characters. So I had a feeling that she was going to be a big character in the series somewhere. I am so glad it is with Benny though. I really loved this book in how protective Benny was with Jessyka. He knew when to push her and when to hold back. This book really shows the love between the two main characters. Though I wish I knew more of Jessyka's backstory then what was said in the books. But I can't wait to get to know more about her hopefully in other books.

Beautiful Regret (The Bounty Hunters - The Marino Bros. #3) by MJ Nightingale

Lisa Rasmussen, formerly Lisa Raphael, has had enough of her manipulative abusive husband. He has forced her to his will, tortured her both physically and psychologically, and she wants out. Lisa calls her ex boyfriend Gio Marino begging for help. She has been accused of attempt murder. Check to find out what happens when the these two meet in Beautiful Regret by MJ Nightingale published in April 2015. This book is book three in The Bounty-Hunters - The Marino Bros series.

M.J. Nightingale books in this series just keep getting better and better. Anyways, I fell in love with this book so quickly. I love that the two main characters have a back story so that it was hard for Gio to forgive Lisa. I don't want to tell you what he all has to forgive her for. Though for me I kind of had a feeling what the surprise was going to be. I was still surprise. I really loved this book, I love that the backstory didn't take away from the plot but enhanced it. I wish I knew more about the Marino brothers anyways and this really helped to know the relationships they had outside of their stories. I also love the humor in this book and how it all played about. The only issue I had was how easy it was for Gio's brothers to forgive Lisa for all the hurt she caused all of them. I highly recommend checking this book out.
