Hans (Alliance #4) by S.J. Tilly

How to make the handsome, brooding man across the street notice me. Step one: Deliver baked goods to his front porch, even though he never answers his door and always returns the containers when I'm not home. Step two: Slowly lose my mind as a whole year passes without ever running into him, no matter how hard I try. Step three: Have my boudoir photos accidently delivered to his mailbox instead of mine. Have him open the package. Then have him storm into my home for the most panty-melting scolding of my life. Step four: still figuring out step four. Hans by S.J. Tilly was published December 28, 2023 (Today). This is book four of the Alliance series.

HOLY SMOKES ON A CRACKER! This book was AMAZING....I absolutely fell in love with Hans over and over in this book. I loved Nero, King, Dom, but Hans...he can stalk me anytime. The two main characters in this book are so well written that I really want to be both Cassie and Hans best friend. I am not surprised that Nero and the gang all want them to be friends. The plot in this book is so amazing that I actually read this book all in one day. I loved how it flowed to each scene in this book like a well played musicals instrument. Also the smut in this book is top shelf. Also, I don't think i will forever look at a bag of skittles without thinking of Hans. It might make my husband jealous. I highly recommend checking out this book but also make sure you check out the other amazing books in this series. You will not be disappointed.

Quotes that I Loved

A girl like her should wear...Nothing.

The living room doubles as Cassandra's home office. On one side of the room, the gray couch faces a subpar TV mounted above a fireplace she never turns on because someone - me- keeps disabling the gas lines because someone - her - has left it on unattended one too many times.

"You were whispering when I called you earlier.....Hans, tell me you weren't in her house."
"Look.....I'm not doing it to perv on her or anything. I'm just making sure she's safe."
"By skulking through her house in the middle of the day? While she's there?"
"When you say it like that."

"You have until the count of three to tell me."
"What happens on three?"
"Something you won't like, Girl. Now answer me."

"That's a good girl."

"Watch the attitude, Girl."
"Or what?....I don't think your punishment worked last time."
"No?.....I'm sure we can find your limit."
"Promise?"
"Cassandra."
"You want to count to three again?"

"My dirty little Butterfly."

Caught Up (Windy City #3) by Liz Tomforde

I'm a single dad and starting pitcher for Chicago's MLB team. I'm stretched too thin, but I don't want help raising my son. Each of his previous nannies only lasted a few weeks before I let them go. Now, my coach is putting his foot down by hiring the one person I can't fire - his daughter. Miller Montgomery is the last woman I should fall for. Too wild, too young, and too unattached. Chicago is just a quick stop for her. I thought I'd be counting down the days until she left, but summer feels too short when I start thinking about forever. Caught Up by Liz Tomforde was published in October 2023. This is book three of the Windy City series.

I was so excited when this book came out soon after I finished the other two books in the series. I absolutely loved the first two books in the series and could not wait to read the next book. This book was not at all disappointing. I loved Kai in this book and how he wanted to be this amazing dad to his little boy. He pulled on my heartstrings in how he wanted something to be the best for his little boy. But I also love how Miller threw every little thing into his plan to shake things up for him and his little boy. But also loved the relationship that Miller created with the little boy. It was not a wham bam thank you Ma'm kind of book. Now this one was slow to build till it exploded everywhere. The plot is amazing and how it was a slow build for the characters to fall in love through the series. Which really works well with the two characters. I highly recommend checking out this book series.

Quotes That I Loved

'If you're as terrible of a listener in the bedroom as you are in real life, Miller, I can promise you this, you wouldn't be allowed to come...Two can play this game, Montgomery. Now, let's go."
"You keep talking like that, Kai, and I'll be ditching the 'baseball' part and just be calling you 'daddy.'"

"If you're going to start coming to my games, I better see Rhodes on your back and I'm not talking about my brother."
"Is this some athlete kink you got? Need to see a girl in your jersey?"
"I like to see pretty girls in my jersey. Like to take it off them too."
"Well, with that kind of promise, I'll be sure to wear it next time."

"Oh my God! You're impossible. You need to go. I'm not your problem to worry about."
"Yes, the fuck you are."
"Kai, I am not your problem."
"Be my problem."
"Then do something to make me your problem."

"All I can think about is fucking you right now, but you're out of your goddamn mind if you think any of this could be easily forgettable for me."

"I think I'm ruined by simply watching you come, so please, do me a favor and go to bed....And for the love of God...lock the fucking door."

"What are you doing?"
"I'm praying....What the fuck do you think I'm doing?"
"If my cock goes anywhere near that mouth of yours, I'm going to be done, and I'd really like to be inside your pussy when that happens."

"Good girl. You get a gold star for listening."

"Well, it doesn't matter if you see me or not. You're going to feel every inch of me. I'll be so deep, you'll be able to feel me in your fucking throat, and I can promise you, Miller, your body won't let you forget me."

"Miller...If you're this sad, I have a shoulder you could lean your legs on."

Claiming Grace (Ace Security #1) by Susan Stoker

For Logan Anderson, moving on from a traumatic past means moving back to his hometown of Castle Rock, Colorado, to start a personal-security business with his brothers. But it's not long before Logan runs into Grace Mason, his best friend from high school...and the woman who never answered his letters during his Army years. Grace was pleasantly surprised to see Logan return to Castle Rock, despite their falling-out ten years ago. Everyone always assumed they would end up together, including Grace, who had eyes only on him. But as Logan eventually escaped their town, Grace got pulled further into her family's controlling grasp - and farther away from the man she loved. Now, united by scars both visible and not, the two must fight to free Grace from the suffocating hold of her family. But the Masons won't let go easily - and they'll do whatever it takes to keep the couple apart. Claiming Grace by Susan Stoker was published in March 2017.

This was the very first book that I read by Susan Stoker. This was the book that I fell in love with her style of writing and her world that she created. I absolutely loved the plot in this story and how well it was written. Not sure if I could ever design a plot like the one she chose. There was places where you have to turn the page to find out why or you won't sleep at night. The sexy scenes are not like other romance they are quite tame. But this book is very romantic in the way Logan treats Grace once he realized that Grace wanted a relationship from him all this time. The characters in this book are well written and both have faults and strengths. The history isn't shoved into a single chapter but throughout the book. You see the easy love between the two characters and it seems like it's a long time coming. I highly recommend checking out this amazing book if you want a light read.

Flirting with Forever (Dirty Martini Running Club #4) by Claire Kingsley

Nora Lakes is sophisticated, successful, and happily single. Career problems aside, her life is fine the way it is, thank you very much. Sure, her best friends are all moving into a new season of life - full of husbands and babies and white picket fences. But that's not what Nora wants. Neither is the gruff, tattooed guy next door. Flirting with Forever by Claire Kingsley was published in March 2023. This is the fourth book in the Dirty Martini Running Club series.

I love Nora in the other books of her friends. In how she didn't care what men think. Of course we all know she does care but doesn't want it to effect her. I absolutely loved this book. I loved how she friended the teenage girl next door before she friended the dad. Also loved how the dad was a little jealous of her relationship with his daughter. This was a slow to warm romance but it was worth it when it exploded. I absolutely loved this book and yes, her friend's husbands/boyfriends do come to do their duty as protecting Nora. I highly recommend checking out this sweet, funny, love story.

Quotes That I Loved

"The thing about friendships, and boys for that matter, is that you never want to settle. Having acquaintances or people you can have fun with is fine, but you want to be careful about who you let into your circle of trust."
"So, you mean it's better to have no friends than bad friends?"
"Yes. Bad friends aren't really friends are they?"
"No, I guess not."
"And you never want to compromise who you are so other people will like you."

That rough, tattooed man could probably destroy my body in a hundred different ways. And by the way he was looking at me, he was thinking about it.

"Can I be honest about something?"
"Of course."
"You're kind of killing me tonight."
"Am I?....I thought you weren't interested."
"Yeah, we both know that's not true."

"Come in....I'm not done with you."

"Good girl."

"That's my dirty girl. Nice and wet for me."

"Careful, big guy, you know how I feel about spanking."
"My dirty girl. You love it."
"I really do. But later."

Marrying Emily (Delta Force Heroes #4) by Susan Stoker

Few people know better than Delta Force soldiers that life is unbearably short and achingly precious. So Cormac Fletcher isn't waiting one more day to marry the love of his life, Emily. Fletch has already adopted her daughter, Annie. Now it's time to officially make Emily his too. Emily understands just about every woman experiences a few wedding snafus - but they're usually not of the harrowing, life-or-death variety. Fortunately for her, a guest list full of Delta soldiers and SEALs will make this an event to remember - for both Emily and the uninvited guests trying to ruin her special day. Marrying Emily by Susan Stoker was published in February 2017. This is book four of the Delta Force Heroes series.

This is another Susan Stoker book. I absolutely love Emily, Fletch, and Annie in the book where they all met. I couldn't wait to read about their wedding. This book was not surprising with how many friends of Emily and Fletch's came to the wedding. Also how we got to see Tex in action in this book. I absolutely loved that this book was filled with all the characters we have loved before. This story is short but it has an amazing well thought plot that leaves you wanting to dig deeper into the story-line. I loved how Susan Stoker wove the plot around the wedding. I highly recommend checking this book out. I can't wait to read more books by this amazing author.

Reckless Heart (Starlight Cove #4) by Brighton Walsh

Turns out the gorgeous stranger I had a one-night stand with is not only my sister's best friend but also my new employee. Worse? I shared a whole lot more with Avery than one mind-blowing night. I told hr my deepest, darkest secret. Despite my constant worry that she'll let the truth slip to my family, I can't stay away from her. And when we're tossed together for an out of town and forced to share a room with only one bed, the chemistry between us finally explodes...again. I have no problem making her see stars-or breaking the bed. The trouble is, the longer our secret relationship goes on, the more I want to keep her. But she's eight years my junior, the sunshine to my grump, and I know her free spirit wants more than the small town of Starlight Cove can offer. I have no doubt no one will ever give her more pleasure than I will, but I refuse to hold her back. Even if that means letting her go when her three month contract is up. Reckless Heart by Brighton Walsh was published in September 2023. This is book four of the Starlight Cove series.

This was actually the first book I read in the series. Oh don't look at me like that because I kind of regret that I did it anyways. I hate reading books out of order because like I knew who was going to be with who when I read this book. Anyways, I found this book on booktok and thought I would give it a shot. I am so glad that i did. This book had me laughing from the get go. Also watching how everything came to light made me laugh even more. The smut in this book is spicy and makes you want to go attack your spouse (Hi Babe). The plot in this book is great and leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I highly recommend checking out this amazing book that is full of different tropes. Grumpy Sunshine, one bed, it's all in there.

Quotes That I Loved

"In my opinion, if more men looked at toys as teammates rather than the competition, a lot more women would be able to reach climax right along with their partners. Orgasms aren't just for men, you know."

I coughed and sputtered as I stared at her chest where her T-shirt proudly proclaimed, Buy me books and tell me to STFUATTDLAGG.

"You can grind that sweet cunt down on me all you want, but I'm not coming until you've had your fill."

"Can't forget about that needy little clit, can we, bunny?"

"You going to be a good girl and give me another one?"

"There you go, pretty girl....come all over my hand."

"Then get over here and climb on the bed. Hands and knees. Show me that perfect ass, and let me see what I've done to that pussy."

"You did so good for me, bunny."

Betting on Benny (Mystic Nights #6 / Special Forces: Operation Alpha) by MJ Nightingale

Navy SEAL, Kason "Benny" Sawyer's family has exploded. A wife and three kids in just three years has him hopping, especially when he can be called away at a moment's notice to parts unknown. With the cost of his wife's new business, and repairs on the farm house mounting, his debts have him scrambling to make ends meet in his crazy, busy life. And that life is about to get crazier when he finds out Jessyka has entered him as a contestant on The Cook Off, cable TV's hottest new cooking show. The prize is 150,000 very tempting dollars. There's just one problem - the rivalry for the grand prize seems to be getting heated outside the kitchen as well. When strange accidents start happening at the casino in Mystic, CT where the show is being filmed, Benny's protective instincts are "kicked" into higher gear. Betting on Benny by MJ Nightingale was published in November 2016. This is book 6 in Mystic Nights series and apart of the Special Forces: Operation Alpha series.

I love Benny and Jessyka in their own book in Susan Stoker's writing so I was iffy on how they were going to be written by MJ Nightingale book. But I was glad that I gave it a shot because she wrote them perfectly. Benny and Jessyka are still very well rounded with the same personalities that they had in the their own book. But this time they are older and have a little more history in their relationship. I loved how the two series intermingled in this book. Also how well the plot was in this book. It felt the plot flowed perfectly and everything had a reason. Even when you were inside the mind of the villain in the book. I loved how they were intermingling the plot with a cooking show. Also loved how Benny was teased by his fellow solider who were at home watching the show. I loved it and can't wait to read more books by MJ Nightingale.

Marrying Mr. Wrong (Dirty Martini Running Club #3) by Claire Kingsley

I never should have gone commando in that dress. I'm almost positive the rest of it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't been dangling off a hotel balcony with my lady parts in the breeze. And of course the one person to witness my mortification had to be HIM. Camden Cox. Sure, today he's gorgeous and wealthy, and fine, I can admit he has a great sense of humor. But once upon a time, he was the boy who loved to make my life miserable. He no longer pulls my pigtails, but I know his type. He wants one thing, and one thing only. A chance to get in my pants. Nope. Not happening. Not even with that sexy Southern drawl. But I'm Sophie Abbott, and if there's one thing I'm good at, it's making a mess. Only this isn't just a mess. It's a disaster. A Sophie disaster. Because after a wild night in Vegas, I wake up naked in his hotel room. And I'm pretty sure we got married. Marrying Mr. Wrong by Claire Kingsley was published in February 2021. This is book three in Dirty Martini Running Club series.

I loved the other two books in this series (sorry I read it before the blog started). I love the men in this book from Sophie's friends husbands. I love how they protect their wives friends from other men. I loved this book so much and I love when the history of the two comes into the book more and more. But it's not like all pile into one spot in the book (which can drag a lot of books down). This book starts right in the middle of action which is Sophie realizes she forgot to put underwear on and then her seeing someone who is creepy. Then she runs with a women to her hotel room where she meets the women's husband. The two of them want to have a threesome with Sophie and want to get her high. So she jumps out of their window and that is how she runs into Camden. Where he gets a lovely view up her dress. This book had me in stitches from the get go. I loved how the relationship of Sophie and Camden involve and how Camden wanted nothing to do with divorcing Sophie. The smut in this book is on the light side but it's in great places through the book. I highly recommend checking out this book. You won't be disappointed. Also make sure to read the first two books. They are amazing as well.

Quotes That I Loved

"They offered me cocaine and wanted to do a threesome. I panicked. Thank you for helping me down, but I have to go."

"I'm just throwing fuckin' spaghetti at the wall, Soph. One of these days, something's gonna stick."

The first girl who'd ever given me a boner was Sophie Abbott.

"Texting Oliver to send my wife flowers."
"She's not your wife."
"According to the state of Nevada she is."

"Why the fuck did you marry my daughter if you didn't even want to sleep with her?"

"The only reason you haven't filed for divorce? We both know that's bullshit, so maybe let's just call it like it is and acknowledge that you have feelings for the girl."

"No, I was a dumbass. But you made some very confusing things happen in my pants."
"Do you want to hear something else that's terrible?"
"Yeah."
"I didn't like you at all."

This is the first book in The Adventures of Buck and Mindy and the first book in SWAK series.

This is one of those book series that matches up with Susan Stoker books. The characters in this book are so amazing. I was laughing in the first chapter from then on there was so many funny scenes through out the book. I love the relationship between Buck and Melinda. It makes me want to read more about them. I also loved how their relationship has ups and downs through out the book. Also how their relationship evolved throughout the book. I highly recommend checking out this well written story. I can't wait to read book two in the series.
