Dom (Alliance #3) by S.J. Tilly

When I was nine, I went to my first funeral. Along with accepting my father's death, I had to accept new and awful truths I wasn't prepared for. When I was nineteen, I went to my mother's funeral. We weren't close, but with her gone, I became more alone than ever before. Sure, I have a half-brother who runs The Alliance. And yeah, he's given me his protection - in the form of a bodyguard and chauffeur. But I don't have anyone that really knows me. No one to really love me. Until I meet him. The man in the airport. And when one chance meeting turns into something hotter, something more serious, I let myself believe that maybe he's the one. Maybe this man is the one who will finally save me from my loneliness. the one to give me the family I've always craved. Dom by S.J Tilly was published on September 2023. This is the third book of the Alliance series.

I absolutely loved book one and book two from this series. So I had to get this book the day it came out because the first two books were absolutely amazing. I was not disappointed at all in this book. I fell in love with Val and wanted to hug her so much. Also invite her to be my sister because her half-brother King and half-sister really didn't see her as a person. I really found a likeness in her and myself. I have three siblings who were adopted before I was born who want nothing to do with me. So I felt her pain in trying to be what they want her to be. With that I can see how she turned a blind eye to all the the flags that Dom was showing in the beginning. Dom, what can I say about Dom. I could tell when he fell for Val and saw her more then a person he had to trick to become a wife. I loved how he evolved in this book and how he slowly allowed Val to become more. The plot in this book are amazing. The plot flowed through the book so seamlessly. It was nice to see each main characters fall in love in the book. It didn't feel rushed at all. I loved it and I really can't wait to read more books by S.J. Tilly.

Quotes That I Loved

Holy fuck-me eyes. I blink. Scratch that. Holy fuck-me everything.

"Make me happy, Angel."
"Let me feed you. Eat your treat."

Lord, help me. This is going to be the best and worst flight ever. It'll be like sitting in front of a giant cheesecake but knowing you aren't allowed to take a bite.

"Keep teasin' me, see where it gets you."

"Guess so."
"Or maybe you drugged me."
"You've found me out. I'm not a web designer. I'm actually a drug lord."
"Drug lord? Do they still call them that?"
"I didn't say I was good at at it."
"I like you, Valentine Gandy."

"I need a taste of you, Angel. A taste of whatever you'll give me....Fuck, Valentine, I'd kill for just a kiss. But I'll taste those too if you let me."

"It's been a long time, and this sweet-as-candy pussy is about to suck the cum right out of me. So I need you to come, Valentine. I need you to be a good little girl and come first."

"Come for me....come on this cock. Show me what a good little wife you can be. Show me how I make you feel."

"If the question has been will you wear my ring, or would you perfer I tattoo your whole-ass finger like a psycho, my answer would've been a little different."

"You.Are.My.Wife........And people need to know that. If I can't trust you to wear a ring, I'll mark you myself for everyone to see."

"Maybe I didn't make myself clear when I tattooed your name across my fucking throat. This....is so everyone knows who I belong to."

"And inking the last words of my vow to you above my fucking dick....that's all for you, Angel. So when you're ready to wrap those lips around my cock and take me into your throat, you'll be eye level with my promise to you. Even on your knees, I'll still be yours."

"Just take it....take me like the good wife I know you are."

Deserving Reese (The Refuge #3) by Susan Stoker

Having a crush on one of your brother's friends is so cliche. But Reese Woodall isn't too worried...it's not as if she'd ever have a chance with the former Delta Force Operative. For one thing, he lives in New Mexico, and she's in Missouri. For another, since Woody and his team chaptered out of the Army several years ago, she hasn't seen Gus even once. She's free to lust after him from afar...but with her brother currently missing, Reese has far more important things to worry about. Deserving Reese by Susan Stoker was published in May 2023. This is book three of The Refuge series.

I just finished this book this morning because I really wanted too finish the book. I absolutely love Susan Stoker books. I get most of my books from the library, kindleunlimited, and interlibrary loans. This is one of the interlibrary loans and my book is now full of sticky notes to share with you. Okay, let's first talk about the amazing characters in this book. I absolutely love Reese. She is this super smart girl who thinks she is too curvy. But because she is book smart there is some common sense goes out the window. Like trying to find her brother in a drug cartel area. Or the fact that she tried a hot dog from a street vendor from a country that she most likely shouldn't dare. I really fell in love with her sense of humor and love how even though she was scared she didn't back down. Also Gus, it's amazing. He's one of those tough guys on the outside but is all gooey in the middle.

I absolutely loved this book and the plot line is suburb. There was this sense of everything is going on in the world but you know that Susan Stoker was going to pull the rug out from under their safety net. Which she did near the end of the book. I really enjoyed the slow build of the romance between the two main characters. You knew from the beginning they had a crush on each other but things just kept coming in between them through the book. Till boom...a smut scene that will make your toes curl. I highly recommend this book and really any of Susan Stoker's books.

Quotes That I Loved

"Gotta say, I'd much rather be with a smart woman, than with someone who's pretty but has nothing between her ears."

"We good to go here."
"We're good...you good?"
"I'm good....and how many times are we going to say good?"
"I'd say a good many more times."

"Well, I told you I'd visited the website. any self-respecting girl with a crush and mild stalker tendencies would do the same thing."

"I want to kiss you."
"Well? what are you waiting for?"
"Your permission."
"Anytime you want to kiss me you can."

"I am gonna taste every inch of your body, get my mouth in between your legs and feast. After we make love, we'll shower together...then I'll go down on you again. Then I'll hold you all night long and thank my lucky stars that you let me anywhere near your delectable body."

"When do I get a chance to go down on you?"
"You want that? To suck my cock?"
"Yes."
"Then you'll get me. Me."

"Look at me."

"You're mine....I'm going to do everything in my power to deserve you. To make you proud to call me yours. To make me happy."

"You feel as if you were made to be mine. You're soft against my hardness, but I have no worries that you're going to break or I'm going to hurt you when I take you the way I've dreamed."

"Please stop torturing me. I've dreamed about you making love to me for years. I want you. Need you. Stop talking."

"That's it. You're creaming all over my hand. My sheets. I'm gonna smell you for hours after this, and I'm not going to want to wash it away. Come for me, sweetheart. Let me see it. Get yourself ready for your man."

"Gus..."
"If I go faster, I'm gonna come."
"So? Isn't that the point."
"Not this time...."

Behind the Net (Vancouver Storm #1) by Stephanie Archer

After my ex crushed my dreams in the music industry, I'm done with getting my heart broken. Working as an assistant for an NHL player was supposed to be a breeze, but nothing about Jamie Streicher is easy. He's an intimidatingly hot, grouchy jerk who can't stand me. The guy has a massive ego. Keeping things professional will be no problem, even when he demands I move in with him. Behind the Net by Stephanie Archer was published in June 2023. This is the first book in Vancouver Storm series.

Let's talk about the characters in this book first. I felt like both characters fell flat. There was not enough personality and I feel like there could be more. I love the feeling when I am reading that these characters can be real people. I did not get that feeling with these two main characters liked I hoped. The plot at first was a little slow but the rest of the book made up for it. I really did like the steamy scenes in this book especially when he was trying to help her cum for the first time. Also love when he accidently bought her a vibrator. The book had some great parts but also some scenes that could have made the cut out. But I really enjoyed the book and I would give it 4/5 stars.

Also...need to talk about the cover. I know a lot of people like the illustrated covers of books. I am not one of them. I usually avoid the books with these colors because they make it seem like a kid book (I read a lot of kids books to my kids). I usually like the discreet ones if reading them in my living room (too many little eyes) or the spicy covers on my kindle. Those are usually my first books I grab. But I know not every one agrees with what I like so it did not effect my scoring.

Quotes That I Liked

....Jamie Streicher's forearms could get a woman pregnant.

I swallow with difficulty. He's so bossy. A shiver rolls over me, and my skin tingles. I bet he's bossy in bed, too.

"The last time I played for someone, they laughed at me."
"Who?....Tell me. Names. Now."
"Jamie."
"Now."

Songbird.

"You pulled out all the stops for this guy..It's the ultimate revenge, isn't it? To make him want you back....to make him beg to fuck you?"
"That's not the ultimate revenge,....the ultimate revenge would be fucking you."

"Why are you blushing, songbird?"
"I'm not."
"You're burning up. You don't have a fever, do you?"
"I don't think so."
"What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing."
"Tell me."

"I wanted to make you come harder than ever, and that was the only way. I don't want anyone else to do it."

"Good girl...such a good fucking girl for me, coming so hard."

"Did you doubt that your pussy was one of the sweetest things I've ever tasted?"

"Stop.Teasing.Me."
"Beg Me."
"Please, Jamie....please make me come."

"Finish Him."

Protecting Beauty (The Bounty Hunter-The Marino Bros #5 / Special Forces: Operation Alpha) by MJ Nightingale

John "Tex" Keegan thought his Clearwater vacation would be nothing but smooth sailing, cocktails, and baby making with his wife, Melody. But not even a week into his belated honeymoon, the past hurtles to the present to haunt him. And, the ghosts won't let go. Tex is taken back in time to a dark place, a time before he lost his leg, and before he became a Navy Seal. A time when a young Beauty suffered on his watch. And she wasn't alone. There were others. So many needless victims on his watch. Katarina Marino has moved on with her life. Orphaned, a ward of the state, kidnapped, a sex slave, and preyed upon by a serial killer, she has been to hell and back. Though she survived it all, her past may threaten her future once more. Protecting Beauty by MJ Nightingale was published in July 2016. This book is the fifth book in The Bounty Hunters - The Marino Bros. series.

I loved Tex in all the books from Susan Stoker so I was excited to see how other authors had him in their stories. Susan Stoker allows certain authors to use some of her characters and her world to create in. I absolutely loved this book in that we get to find out more about Tex background. In books previously that he is in you don't know much about his background. Even in his own book. So to learn more about the beloved awesome character background it was fun to see. I also love how you learn more about Katarina. This book was not just full of backgrounds. It had it's own story-line that played great in revealing background of both sides but also has their own climax. There is not much romance in this book as Katarina is married and so is Tex to other people. Though you get to see some of how they treat their spouses. I highly recommend checking out this quick read.

Final Offer (Dreamland Billionaires #3) by Lauren Asher

Callahan is the Kane brother everyone gossips about behind closed doors. Trust fund brat. Washed-up athlete. High-functioning alcoholic. No one knows the real Callahan but her. Lana Castillo, Callahan's childhood best friend and the only woman he ever loved. When he broke her heart six years ago, he promised to never return to Lake Wisteria. He kept his word until his grandfather's will changed everything. To receive his inheritance, he was tasked with spending a summer at the family lake house before selling it. The request was simple in theory until his entire plan blew up on the very first day. Turns out Lana doesn't just live at the house, but she claims she own it, too. Final Offer by Lauren Asher was published in January 2023. This is the third book of Dreamland Billionaires series. This was nominated Goodreads Choice Award for Best Romance in 2023.

I loved Callahan's humor in the other two books in this series. So I wanted to know more about Callahan and why he is the only one who can make jokes of his brothers. So I was surprised on how much anger there was in this character and that Callahan humor is how he deflects the pain he is feeling throughout the books. Though I still love Callahan and Iris friendship even in this book. Then when you meet Lana and you realize how much pain and anger she has over Callahan will shock you. The two of the main characters are well rounded and they both have faults and strengths that will make you think you know them personally. Their relationship was not created easily even with their past history. There was a lot of ups and downs and Lana did not give Callahan an easy road. This book is amazing and I really enjoyed learning about the two characters back history throughout the book not just in the first chapter. The plot in this book is amazing and really well written. I highly recommend checking this book out of course after book 1 and book 2.

Quotes that I Loved

"You always deserved better than me."
"No. I deserved better from you."

"If I wanted to spite you, I'd aim for something a little better than your wallet."
"Like where?"
"A kick to the balls is always a good place to start."

"I knew Lana was angry at me..."
"But you ran before you had to deal with it."
"Exactly."
"Well, you have to face your past eventually."
"It feels like I'm being slapped across the face with it repeatedly."
"Maybe all of this will be good for you. It could help you get some closure."

"No need to worry. I know that there is no chance in hell we ever getting back together."

"I think he's jealous."
"No way."
"He tried to choke me, Alana."
"Cal?"
"Yes, Cal! I don't think I've ever seen him that pissed before. It caught me off guard."
"He's got the personality of a golden retriever."
"Yeah, a rabid one. I panicked for a moment before my training kicked in."

"You did...while I was between your legs with my tongue deep inside your needy cunt."
"God"
"Please, no need to call me God outside of the bedroom. It gives me a complex."

"You taste better than I remember."

Rescuing Harley (Delta Force Heroes #3) by Susan Stoker

Video game coder, Harley Kelso, thought a tandem skydive would help her make her latest game more realistic. Instead, it literally put her in the arms of the sexiest man she's ever seen. Geeky to the core, Harley is the polar opposite of big and burly Beckett, but that doesn't stop her from wanting to play more carnal games with the sexy soldier. When Beckett "Coach" Ralston offers to fill-in at a friend's skydiving club, he doesn't suspect he'll meet a woman who will change his life - and he definitely doesn't expect her to save it. But that's exactly what happens when an accident mid-air forces Harley to land them both safely. She's earned Coach's complete gratitude, and even more, sexual interest..until she disappears without a trace. Rescuing Harley by Susan Stoker was published in November 2016. This is the third book in the Delta Force Heroes series.

So I read this awhile back, so I have no sexy quotes to give you. But I loved this book so much. I really enjoy the world that Susan Stoker has created and how the books intertwin with each other and other authors books. Anyways, I loved two characters in this book, both characters have their own personalities. They both have faults and strengths. They are extremely well rounded to make them feel world. Also they lusted first after each other instead of instant fall in love (BIG A+). I love the plot of this story and how it goes up into the big climax of the book and comes down. Of course there are surprises throughout the book. You will not be bored at any part of this book and I highly recommend it.

Terms and Conditions (Dreamland Billionaires #2) by Lauren Asher

Declan is destined to become the next CEO of his family's media empire. The only problem? His grandfather's inheritance clause. Fulfilling his dying wish of getting married and having an heir seemed impossible until his assistant volunteers for the job. Their marriage was supposed to be the perfect solution to his biggest problem. But the more they act in love for the public, the more unsure Declan feels about their contract. Caring about Iris was never part of the deal. Especially not when breaking her heart is inevitable. Terms and Conditions by Lauren Asher was published in February 2022. This is book two in the Dreamland Billionaires series. This book was nominated for Goodreads Choice Award for Romance in 2022.

Let's talk about the two characters in this book first. I fell in love with Iris and her quick thinking. I wanted to high five her for trying to help Declan out. But also I loved how she didn't let Declan ruin her life. Also her friendship with Declan's little brother was so funny. She had her faults and strength. It was interesting to see how her faults came to play with her own relationships. Declan, I hated in book one and the start of this book. I didn't want to like him and his mean remarks. But, like in book one we know what the kids went through to be the way they are. You slowly seem to see the soft side of Declan that he hides from everyone. The plot in this book is amazing that I read this book in a day. I did not want to put it down and fell in love with both characters. I wanted to fight their fight. The smut in this book is to die for. There was not too much that is was overpowering but just the right amount for me. I highly recommend checking out this book after book one.

Quotes That I Loved

"Special is the last word I would use to describe you."

"You're trying to tell me that you're engaged to Declan Kane? Willingly?
"Is it so hard to believe?"
"No. Not really, to be honest."

"Declan and I could be the last two people on Earth and I would still choose my vibrator over him."

"I never asked for an increased paycheck, but since you so generously offered..."
"Well played."
"Thank you sir. You taught me everything I know."

"I finally found the perfect way to shut you up...All I need to do is keep your mouth permanently occupied."

Whoever this man is, he must be a figment of my imagination. There's no other explanation for the backward ball cap, athletic pants, and T-shirt speckled in powdered sugar.

"Welcome to the dark side --we have liquor."

"Jose does have a way with words."
"Who the fuck is Jose?"
"Nobody important."
"Good, then at least no one will miss him when he's dead."

"I'm enjoying the view."
"Says the man who hasn't even looked outside once."
"That's not the view I'm talking about."

"What are you doing?"
"Helping my wife."
"You're growing a bit too comfortable with that nickname for my liking."
"I use it to remind you of your place."
"And what's that?"
"Mine."

Justice for Boone (Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes #6) by Susan Stoker

Sheriff's Deputy Hayden Yates has worked hard to gain the respect and admiration of her fellow law enforcement officers. She's succeeded so well, in fact, that she's become just one of the guys. As her friends slowly begin to meet their soul mates, Hayden longs to be seen as desirable woman, and not the tomboy she's always been. No slouch when it comes to attracting the opposite sex, cowboy Boone Hatcher might want to give it a rest for awhile, especially after his last girlfriend accuses him of domestic abuse. Hayden might seem all business, but her need for justice comes from a heart that beats with pure passion. Justice for Boone by Susan Stroker was published in September 2016. This is book six of the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes series.

I absolutely loved this book, I loved how Susan Stoker flipped the male and female. It was about a women in a field of men and just wants to feel like a female in a relationship setting and outside of work. I loved Hayden in the previous books and how she stood up for herself but also how she tends to gravitate more to hanging with the guys. She reminded me some what of me when I was younger. I had a lot of guy friends more then girl friends. Though, Hayden didn't fall in love with a friend of hers, just a suspect in a case. Where I fell in love and married one of my good guy friends. I love how she had a lot of weakness and one of which is how to let her female side out and when she overcomes her  challenges. I loved Boone who has this alpha exterior but also has a gooey middle who just wants someone to believe in him. The plot in this book is amazing and flows amazing. I highly recommend checking out this book.

The Fine Print (Dreamland Billionaires #1) by Lauren Asher

Rowan is in the business of creating fairy tales. Theme parks, production companies. Five-star hotels. Everything could be his if he renovated Dreamland. His initial idea of hiring Zahra was good in theory, but then he kissed heer. Things spiraled out of control once he texted her using an alias. By the time Rowan realized what went wrong it was too late. The Fine Print by Lauren Asher was published in December 2022. This is the first book of Dreamland Billionaires series.

For some reason, I was avoiding to read the series. That's not saying every time I saw anything of of it on instagram, twitter, and booktok didn't draw me in it did. But I think the book cover just didn't draw me in further. Anyways, don't let the book cover throw you from this book. Let's talk about the two main characters. The two main characters are so different from each other. It's really opposites attract kind of thing. Rowan is trying to get his inheritance that his Grandpa gave him in his will. The only thing is that he and his brothers had to do exactly what Grandpa wants them to do. Lucky for Rowan he had to fix some things in Dreamland (AKA Disney) and then three people were voting whether or not it was good. He was stubborn and he had a lot of issues. Which you slowly find out through the book that it was because his Dad treatment of him as a kid. I really wanted to hate how Rowan was in this book but the more I learned about him the more that I started to like him. Then his gooeyness came out around Zahra and boom I loved him. Zahra is all sunshine and starbeams. She has an amazing family and loves Dreamland. She just doesn't like how Dreamland big wigs treat the people who make the magic work. She has many dreams and the old big wig (Grandpa) took her under his wing. Don't let sunshine and starbeams throw you off though as Zahra does have a little mean side and it comes out when she is protecting her Dreamland, family, and love. The plot in this book is amazing, I didn't feel like things were rushed at all in the book. But also did not feel like it was slow in parts. It had amazing pacing and I loved how backgrounds were woven in through the book. I highly recommend checking out this book. I can't wait to read book two.

Quotes that I Loved

"Well, this was the first big step in letting go of the past. Maybe it needed to happen like this."
"Yesterday you said fate was a fool's way to avoiding plans."

"Don't tell me you're referring to Mr. Kane. He wouldn't know a good mood if he was overdosing on Valium."

"You better have a massive dick to back up that attitude or else people will be mighty disappointed."
"Care to bring out a ruler and test your theory?"
"I left my magnifying glass at home, so maybe tomorrow."

"Are you always this impossible?"
"I don't know. Are you always this much of an asshole?"

"Take a breath. I'm not in the mood to call ambulance when you pass out and crack your head open."
"How dare I consider for a second that you would would catch me before that happens."
"That requires caring and I'm fresh out of fucks to give."

"You don't want me to help you with that problem?"
"Take a man out to dinner first."
"Does my pussy count?"
"Fuck"

"Do you plan on staring at me all night or are you going to get on with the show?"
"I like the view."
"I'd like mine better if your face was between my legs."

The Guardian Mist by Susan Stoker

Rin Velt and her twin sister Tina have grown up under a curse, just like all the women of their bloodline. They've known since childhood that Tina must find her true love before their twenty-fifth birthday to end the curse once and for all. It's been Rin's lifelong task to find the family heirloom - a rare and mystical ring - that would aid Tina in her search. As for Rin's true love? She's not the one who must end the curse. And, between her job and her relentless search for the ring, she has no time to look for love anyway. But what if love is looking for her? When Roman Reese appears in Rin's life, as if straight from her reoccurring dreams, and outside forces threaten to snatch him away from her forever, she learns just how powerful true love can be. The Guardian Mist by Susan Stoker was published in August 2016.

This is a totally different book then I am used to by Susan Stoker. Never the less the characters are well developed. Though I really wanted to beat Tina up through most of the book. The two main characters are easy to love and both have faults and strengths. Though I felt like they fell instantly in love but maybe that was part of the fantasy part. I loved how the plot ebbed and flow. There are part in the beginning with the background that kind of drag on but there were hidden things throughout. There were even times when I wanted to yell at the main characters of things that were obvious. I highly recommend checking this book out.

Phantom (Tattered Curtain #1) by Greer Rivers

She is my muse, and I am her demon of music. A year ago, I witnessed sweet Scarlett Day's dark side. She's been my obsession ever since. I was content with being her secret. Content with protecting her from afar...until an enemy from my past sets her sights on her. Our families have a deep history of hatred, and Scarlett is caught in the middle. Meanwhile, her mind plays tricks on her. When a panic attack goes horribly wrong, I emerge from the shadows to save her. Now that she's mine, I can't let her go. I've mastered the darkness. She tempts me with her light. But when my mask is gone, will she fear the monster underneath? Phantom by Greer Rivers was published in July 2022. This is the first book in Tattered Curtain series.

A warning ahead of the time. I could not finish this book, not because it was dark or that it triggered me. Neither was the issue. No, I just could not get through the text and the plot. Let's talk about some of the things that I think the author did well. The author has so many description in this book that it was easy to picture the scenes in your head. I knew exactly where they were and what each character looked like. Also understood each expression the characters had. The characters in this book were complex and I don't think I still got a good understanding of Phantom when I decided I couldn't finish the book. I felt like all of the characters had faults and some strengths. Of course some of them had more strengths then faults but that was fine. They were all well rounded.

So things that I didn't enjoy was how much extra things that were in this book. I really felt like the book was dragging. I was always checking the page numbers in the book to see if I was close to the end of the book. It was very slow moving and it just seemed like it was going to take me forever to finish the book. Not the authors fault but I felt like there were a lot of scenes in the book that could have been a few lines and then jumped or skipped all together. There was some good scenes that I really enjoyed and others I felt like we as readers didn't need to know. I always tell my kids if they don't enjoy a book and dreading to read to just move on. I felt like I needed to take that advice and move on. It was just not my type of book at this moment in time.

Quotes That I Enjoyed

"If I am the phantom, it is because man's hatred has made me so. If I am to be saved it is because your love redeems me."

When she laughs, I imagine shoving my cock down her throat, sparkling tears glistening down her gorgeous face until I come. But when she sings...fuck, when she sings...now that is true ecstasy.

"He's right. I can't tell you, Lettie. It could put you in danger. Just stay away from him. For me? He's bad news, especially for a good girl like you."

"Do you have something to do with this?"
"Did the quiet mouse finally find her backbone?"

My little angel is more savage than she looks. I love her innocence, but her darkness is what calls to me.

"You're my pretty little muse, Scarlett. I worship your voice. Your body, mind, and soul are no different."
"Even the darkness in my mind?"
"Especially your darkness."

"Okay, but why do you know so much about me?"
"Because you are everything."

"I'm not good, little muse. My obsession with you is the only pure thing about me. Never forget that I'm your demon of music, Scarlett. You can't expect me to behave like a gentleman when you beg like my whore."

Dead of Wynter (Frost Industries #2) by Montana Fyre

I've been underestimated my whole life. It's just how it is when you grow up a mafia princess. I've never really cared before, always happy to play my role within the family. But when our enemy hits us where it hurts, the queen who lay dormant demands to be set free. I want revenge for what they've done to our family, and nothing can stand in my way. The only complication, my brothers best friend who took my innocence and disappeared eight years ago. He's back, and even after all these years, he sets my body on fire. I can't allow myself to trust him, not when my world is being torn apart before my eyes. But, Everett has always been the only one to bring me peace, and that's exactly what I need when we're in the middle of a chaos. Can I forgive him for breaking my heart? Or will our love be just another casualty of war? Dead of Wynter by Montana Fyre was published in July 2022. This is book two of Montana Fyre.

First off, I loved book one even though it started slow. So I fully expected this book to start a little slow as well. I was surprised it started in the midst of chaos. Also...there is a huge shock in the first part of the book. Wynter, did not say much in book one (her's brother's book) but you consider her to be a princess. Growing up in a rich family and your family is in charge. So I was excited to actually get to meet her in this book. She did not surprise me at all with how she gain control of everything. Also her back story of the eight years missing from this romance is hard and you learn about her from it. Then you get Everett, who you saw in book 1. You know he had a story that I was hoping to come light in a book. Throughout this book, you find out how hard Everett had growing into the man he is today. Also how calculated he is with everything in his life even his love life. The plot in this book hit the ground running. You are not left hanging at all. There are parts I wish the author slowed down but it didn't effect anything. I highly recommend this book.

Quotes That Loved

But she's mine. Even if I can't have her physically, she will always belong to me.

"I always was the only one that could render you speechless, dove."

"Wynter isn't a princess....She's a queen, and you'll do well to remember that."

"That's the last orgasm you have without my permission."

"If you're a good girl, all you'll get are rewards....Do you want to be a good girl for me, Wynter?"

"Good Girl."

"That's my good girl."

"Do.As.You're.Told."
"Fuck You."

"You.Are.Mine"

"Your body is mine to pleasure, mine to punish, and mine to torture with your own need. The only relief you will be given is the relief I give you."

"You feel so fucking good wrapped around me, Wynter. This pussy is a fucking national treasure."

"You shot my sister."
"She told me to."
